Welcome to the post I wasn’t going to write! I had no intention of promoting David Risley’s Blog Master’s Club, as I felt it clashed with my own Beginner’s Guide to Blogging. I was going to sign up for the course, and I am about to, but listening in on David’s live stream yesterday convinced me that Blog Master’s Club is potentially a great product for Mike’s Life readers, and also that it complements Beginner’s Guide to Blogging beautifully. You see, BBG takes people from nowhere, to the point where they have a blog, with an audience, and they are starting to think about monetization. David’s Blog Master’s Club picks up at exactly that point, and takes readers to the next stage. But let’s back pedal a moment.
I first came across David’s site about a year ago, and I immediately identified him as someone I could learn from and work with. I lapped up all the free content on his site, commented and asked questions, and in time he shared his email address with me, and was good enough to allow me to pick his brains from time to time on email and chat. He also allowed me to guest post and that brought a lot of new traffic to Mike’s Life. When David launched 3 day Money, I was an early customer and even made a video testimonial for the program.
I’ve known that David has been working for some time on the Blog Master’s Club, and once again, I decided to invest in the course. Although I am now a full time and reasonably successful pro blogger, I know I still have plenty to learn, and I’ve found from experience that each new thing I learn has a significant impact upon that success. I also like David’s style – he’s totally honest, very straightforward and he hates bullshit as much as I do!
Having listened to, and understood much more about Blog Master’s Club, I’d like to now recommend it to you, if:
1/ You already have a blog with some traffic visiting it.
2/ You are at the point where you are thinking about ways to monetize the blog.
3/ You’re prepared to invest time and effort into a six month course (you can go at your own rate as the course is modular).
4/ You want to learn from David, and share the experience with me as I will be on the course as well.
If you can answer yes to those questions, then go ahead now and watch this video from David, it has some really good information in it and he covers the following topics:
- Why blogs actually suck at turning readers into money.
- How and why you need to get visitors off your blog.
- The tactic called "click funneling" and how it can
make you a LOT more money from your blog
I’m convinced Blog Master’s Club will carry on the David Risley tradition of providing really good stuff, in an easy to use format, that will result in you achieving your goal to make money from your blog. You see David is already a six figure blogger, and he has been for years – he’s only recently started to let us know how he does it.
The doors will be open for a week from noon today EST, and there’s some kind of special additional free gift for the first 100 who sign up – I intend to be one of those! I’ll come back to this post and add the URL to sign up at noon, so check back here, but if you’re on my email list I’ll send it to you anyway.
As an incentive to signing up for Blog Master’s Club through my affiliate link, I’ll be giving a free copy of my book Living in Lanzarote (value €10) to everybody who does so.
(Note: I will be earning an affiliate commission if you join the Blog Master’s Club through my link. It won’t be any cheaper elsewhere, but if you prefer me not to earn a commission, then simply visit David’s site directly at www.davidrisley.com and sign up there.)

Blog Masters Club
Six months seems like a long time. Do you think it's a lot better the Darren Rowse's 31 Days to a Better Blog Challenge? There's a lot to choose from when it comes to blog course now.
Gordie Rogers's last blog post... Tim Ferriss's Tools And Tricks You Need To Know.
Having spent some time
Having spent some time studying the materials now, yes it is significantly different to Darren's course. He focused on making your blog better and more succesful as a blog. David's course is about earning money from the blog, so kind of picks up where 31DBBB left off. I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far.
Six months is a long time, although you can work through the modules at your own pace. The other key benefit I've signed up for is the community, and the member's forum is already awash with good ideas and lots of collaboration.
There are so many products out there. I think in the end you need to go with the personalities you relate to and trust. For me, David falls into that category. For some, he won't.
