Book Review - Laptop Entrepreneur

I’m an avid reader – I don’t think I’ve been without at least one book on the go for the last ten years. And one of the things I most love about being a writer is that I’m sent books to review all the time.

Laptop Entrepreneur arrived a few weeks ago, and it’s one worth reviewing for this blog. I should declare an interest first – I’m mentioned in the book, and the section on blogging is based on interviews with me.

Laptop Entrepreneur’s tagline is “How to make a living anywhere in the world,” and it brings together the experience of the authors, Nick Snelling and Graham Hunt, and several of their contacts, who do just that – earn a living with nothing more than a laptop computer as their tool.

• Social media marketing

There’s also a useful resource section with dozens of links to excellent sites and free tools.

It assumes little or no previous knowledge, so it takes readers through all the steps required to get started earning money in those areas. The reality is most people will spread the load and do a little of each, before eventually specialising in the one at which they are most successful.
