I'm so excited about this!
I really wanted to go to BWE last year, but it didn't work out. So you could say I've been looking forward to this for a year and a half.
What makes it doubly exciting for me is that I'm also going to be:
A Speaker!
I'm on a panel with my mates David Risley, Nathan Hangen and Lisa Morosky, and we're going to be talking about "Treating your blog like a business." We've already talked through the outline, and we've got some great stuff lined up for you, as well as some decent Q & A time.
So, if you come to BWE, I'd love to meet you, I'd be very happy if you came to our gig, but I'd also like to give you some other compelling reasons to do so:
It's the biggest
BWE is the world's largest social media event. It's kind of like the Geneva Motor Show - if you're in the industry, you have to be there.
Networking
This is the single biggest benefit in my opinion. I know the connections Nathan made last year resulted in a lot of business for him. Everyone will be there, and it's a chance to meet face to face with the people whose blogs you read every day, and whose tweets you enjoy so much. And the good news is that the networking continues outside the show itself in the bars and restaurants. Vegas becomes Blogworld for a few days.
Content
Although our panel is the highlight of the event, :), there are some other pretty notable speakers. People like Darren Rowse and Chris Garrettt will be there, running the Problogger track, and Brian Clark and Sonia Simone will be talking about Remarkable Communication. And a quick look at the sponsors will give you an idea of the quality of the other speakers. The full list will be published in a few days, and I'll link to it here.
It's Vegas, baby!
I've never been to Las Vegas, but it's been on my list of places I must visit for years. How cool is it to be able to make it a tax deductible trip?
I'd love to see you there - you can get all the information about tickets and hotels here:
