The Hidden ROI Of Social Media For Businesses

I wanted to buy a new "thing" yesterday. This particular thing is manufactured by a number of people, and I wanted to do some research to find out who makes the best of them.

I did a Google search and hit the number one result.

It was a great website. It clearly explained how a thing would benefit me, and why their thing was the best.

I looked for a Twitter button. Nothing.

Facebook. Nada.

So I went back to Google and found another supplier.

The whole thing only took a few seconds, and was pretty much done unconsciously. But when I analysed it afterwards, my thought process had been something like:

"They aren't on social media, so they aren't my kind of company."

Interesting?
