In a follow up to my post How does Clickbank work? it made sense to talk to you all about the other product sales and affiliate service I use, E-Junkie.
As an Affiliate
E-Junkie works a little differently to Clickbank, in that you’ll generally come to E-Junkie having been directed to join a specific affiliate program to offer a product. Once you’re signed up, as others invite you to sell their products, you simply add them to your portfolio within the E-Junkie system. It costs nothing to join E-Junkie as an affiliate.
You can browse the products available from other sellers, but that part is not as easy to use or as comprehensive as Cilckbank’s.
The process of offering a product to your readers is simple – you copy your affiliate code, paste it onto your site and each referral you make is recorded by E-Junkie. If someone buys, they notify the person selling, who is instantly paid via Paypal. It is then their responsibility to pay you your commission, again via Paypal, so there is an element of trust here, although I haven’t heard of any issues.
Pros
Cons
As a seller
E-Junkie makes life quite easy for a seller, but there are some limitations. The site is designed to deliver digital content, but it doesn’t yet have a process to make recurring payments, for example for a membership program. However, if you’re selling an E-Book, for example, it works brilliantly. You upload your book to E-Junkie’s servers, and basically that’s it! You’ll get your product link instantly, you can write your own sales page, and simply link to E-Junkie. Once the client gets there, E-Junkie handles the payment and delivers the product, and you just get an email notification that the payment has gone into your Paypal account!
For just $5 month, you can offer up to ten products using a total of 50MB of space, and the price goes up as you need to be able to offer more products or use more storage. I think this makes E-Junkie exceptional value for money – they do offer a free one week trial period as well, so if you have a product you are ready to promote, get it out there now!
The two biggest benefits for a seller using E-Junkie to promote your own products are that it can be on sale in minutes – there’s no long winded approval process, and you get paid instantly. There are a whole host of other features, which I haven’t used yet, but to give you a flavor, you can add discount codes, shipping charges, control inventory and customize your thank you pages.
As I mentioned in the previous section, the onus is on the seller to pay their affiliates. It’s not hard to do, and all the information is within the system, but it does mean you need to be aware of what’s happening on your account, as that part isn’t automated. If you were offline for a few days you could end up with some unhappy affiliates who were waiting to be paid.

Summary
E-Junkie is a fabulous option for a relatively new blogger – the set up costs are low and you get paid straight away, which will help your cash flow. Notwithstanding the problems I seem to have navigating the site, I think E-Junkie is a great service for the blogging and network marketing communities. I’ll continue to use and recommend them, although I really don’t like the name, do you?

I like it
I really like E-Junkie because of the ease in which you can get started, control your affiliates, and modify your products. It also has a very clean interface.
The downside is that you won't have affiliates pouring in like you do with Clickbank, but that's OK with me.

Good summary Nathan, and I
Good summary Nathan, and I agree - Clickbank is better at getting affiliates, but in most other respects, I prefer E-Junkie.
