I really enjoyed Matt's guest post on here about leveraging Facebook traffic, and I know many of you did as well.
One question that I was asked by several people, who then visited my Facebook fan page, was how I'd been able to place an Aweber sign up section on there. I've found that Facebook is good for converting subscribers, so it's something I did a couple of months ago.
I simply followed the very useful Aweber video, which takes you step by step through the process. It was my first experience of using Facebook's FBML, but despite that I managed it without any technical hitches.
Even if you don't use Aweber (and you should!) the same process can be followed for other email programmes as long as you can get the HTML source code for the sign up box.

Thanks to Graham for adding these extra tips in comments:
1. You can rename the application instance, so you can call it "Newsletter" rather than "FBML" - looks nicer on the tab bar.
2. Click on "Boxes" at the top of your page, then on the pencil top-right of your newsletter box. Now select "Move to Wall tab" and the sign-up field will appear as a box on the wall, ie. the main page, rather than hidden away on the tab bar.
