If you're a decent writer, this can be a problem area for you as a blogger - your focus will be on the quality of your writing, on the flow of the narrative, rather than on the all important ratio of keywords in the article, or on whether your content is actually rich in the correct keywords. I have been affected by this, and have found that many of my pieces are simply not rich enough in the right words. so I did some research and set out a template for my own use which I would like to share with you. So here's the key to writing well, but also making sure your content is rich in the correct keywords for any given article:
Work out your target keywords for your article
For this stage you need to put yourself into the mind of someone who needs your article to help them. What would you type into Google, if you were looking for this particular piece? I'm going to use this article as the example. For this post, I want people who are searching for the words "Article" "Keywords" and "Rich" to be able to find it. This is because I reckon they will type a phrase like "How to write an article rich in keywords" into their search engine of choice.
Write your article
Now write your article, but don't focus on the keywords at this stage. This is important, because if you try to write using lots of keywords, you'll end up with a stilted piece that doesn't hang together properly. So write as you normally would, and you'll find that you'll probably do quite well on the keywords anyway, as you've been reading up on your keywords and they will be in your subconscious mind. Proof read your article as usual.
Check how you've done on your keywords
Now you need to see how you've done on the keywords. Read back through the article and make a note as to how many times you've used each keyword. Ideally, you should be looking for a density of around 3%. If you're already there, if the article is rich in keywords, then publish and be happy! If you're not, you need to go back through the article and see where you can get your keywords in. For example in this post, I was able to replace the word "piece" with the word "article" a couple of times without compromising the flow of it. Once you've done this, proof read again to make sure the whole thing works.
There is an easy way to check how you've done, use this website and you can paste your text in and see just how rich it is: http://www.live-keyword-analysis.com/
Create the right title
Now you need to come up with a title that contains all your keywords, so in this case we've used the question I posed for the search engines "How to Write An Article Rich in Keywords". Finally, go ahead and publish your article and watch the visitors pour into your site to read it!
Are you now ready to write a keyword rich article for your website? Is it time to get rich through writing keyword rich content?
