I guess like everyone else, I’m devoting a lot of time at the moment to my plans and objectives for next year. But after some, er, “interesting” experiences over the last few days, I keep coming back to what I don’t want to happen to me! So I thought I’d get it off my chest in a post, in the hope I can get back to the positive.

Please, please, oh please, don’t let me ever become:
A blogger who builds a wall around himself, making it impossible to contact him without first having to get past a tenacious gatekeeper
A blogger who rarely comments on his own blog, and never comments on other people’s
A blogger who keeps telling me the same story over and over again about his first class travels around the world, his property purchases and his general wealth
A blogger who never, ever replies to anyone who engages him on Twitter, unless it’s another “A lister”
A blogger who treats having 25 times more followers than he follows on Twitter as a badge of his influence
A blogger who contacts me 27 times in two weeks when he’s launching a product and from whom I never hear otherwise
A blogger who doesn’t use email anymore, but despite that, keeps sending me email updates
A blogger who “moderates out” any comments that don’t completely agree or praise him
A blogger that won’t be reading this post, “‘cause who the hell is Mike CJ anyway?”
Is there a kind of blogger you don’t want to be?
And now for something completely different:
1/ Bring a great post back to life
2/ Denial, excuses, the truth and a lesson
3/ Eight ways to get more page views
PS: Did you really think I’d managed to write a whole post without mentioning Beyond Blogging this close to launch? You were wrong! :)
