Mike's Life POW 20th March 2009

The last week or so a lot of talk on the blogosphere has centered around the South by South West show in Austin, Texas. So far, however I haven’t seen any great posts about people’s experiences at the show, so I hope to post one or two of those next week.

As always, if you’d like me to read your blog with a view to having your posts considered for POW, please let me know via Twitter @mikecj

Here we go for this week’s favorite posts:

Advice for part time bloggers…..

By Darren Rowse on problogger

You can’t keep a good man down, and Darren just keeps coming up with great posts. This one offers some really useful solutions as to how to cope with time demands when still blogging whilst working a full time job.

Crazy Bonaire Scuba Adventure

By Kris on scubasave

Hilarious offbeat post about a diving holiday that goes horribly wrong, so wrong that it never actually happened!

Complaints, complaints, complaints

By Greg on wootheweb

The type of thing that suggests Web 2.0 is alive and well. This post is actually a comment to a post on another blog. As well as adding to the original, it should also create a wonderful dialog between two blogs and their respective readers.

Goal Setting for internet marketers

By Travis Thomas on travisthomas

From a relatively new blog, this post covers goal setting using the SMART process. It’s clear, easy to understand and is good advice.

Want to grow your blog traffic and audience?

By Chris Garrett on chrisgarrett

This is just a great idea and worth supporting. Chris is offering to conduct a webinar and to share his considerable talents on growing blog traffic with others. The twist is that he’s doing the whole thing for charity – people simply need to make a donation to a children’s heart surgery charity. Join him and support him!

6 Fool-Proof Ways to Make Money with your Website

By Maki on doshdosh

There must be thousands of similarly titled posts on hundreds of blogs. But this is the authority post on the subject. It’s long, but it’s a cracker!

Setting up a Split Test With Google Optimizer

By David Risley on davidrisley

I have a confession to make. I understood what split testing was, but had no clue as to how to actually do it. Thanks to this post, I now know. Read it and so will you.

That’s all for this week on POW!
