Saturday Discussion - How much posting is enough?

Check out the posting frequency of the really big and successful blogs - they all seem to post at least once a day, and some of them post a dozen or more times a day, admittedly using multiple writers.

Is it essential to post at least every day to gain real traction and traffic for your blog?

If you'd prefer to read than debate:
