We bloggers are well known for our obsession with statistics. I've seen people's eyes glaze over at the local bar when someone asks me how the site is going and I get started on bounce rate and uniques.

For today's discussion, I'd like us to talk about which is the most important of them all, and why.
Let's imagine I can give you a silver bullet, which when used will improve one statistic, and one only, on your blog by 30% right away.
Which would you choose, and why? And if there are any you think are completely unimportant, also let us know.
Let's limit the choice to:
Unique visitors
Page views
Comments
Search traffic
RSS readers
Email subscribers
Alexa ranking
Google page rank
I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to say.
These are also quite good if you have some time:
1/ What happens when you guest post on John Chow?
2/ 11 things to do after installing Wordpress
3/ How to get the best from being an Amazon affiliate
