Ten Blackberry Apps I love

I had to write this in response to Firas’ post about iPhone apps.

Blackberry Curve

As we all know, serious and sensible business folk use Blackberrys, right?

So these are the Apps I love on my Blackberry, whilst enjoying the benefit of the device being able to do more than one thing at once. :)

Google Mail

I moved all my domain emails to Google Apps some time ago. and the Gmail app for Blackberry works beautifully, silently updating and making it easy to switch from account to account.

Uber Twitter

I used to use Twitterberry, but found it really clunky. Ubertwitter is superb – almost like having Tweetdeck on your phone.

Foursquare

I’m just getting the hang of Foursquare. I still haven’t decided whether it’s a waste of time, or the most useful damn tool on the planet.

Navigator

This is actually a Vodafone App, and I have access all through Europe. It’s a brilliant turn by turn Navigation system that has never let me down.

Notes recorder

A simple app which allows me to record voice notes as I think about things. One thing I’d love to see added is the ability to do this in the car. I have my phone integrated with the car’s Bluetooth for Hands free use, but you still need to pick up the phone to leave a note.

Google Maps

Just amazing!

Blackberry Messenger

Ships with the phone so not strictly an App, but the BB messenger service works really, really well as a real time chat service.

Docs to go

Essential if you want to read and edit Microsoft stuff on your BB.

Audible Books

I only recently got into buying Audio versions of books, and I buy them through Audible. They produce a Blackberry App that synchs with new books on your PC, so you can listen on the move.

Milksynch

I totally love Remember the Milk – it’s my first choice of task list software. And there’s an App that synchronizes beautifully with the Blackberry.

Which others should I have?
