Some of you will know about the Transglobe Blog already. Indeed, some of you have very kindly written for it.
For those who are wondering, it's a project of mine. What I would like to do is to get a blog post from every country in the world onto it. I'm looking for "day in the life" type posts. I want people to write about their typical day - it may not be that interesting to you, but it will be to people who live in other cultures and with other lifestyles.
Here are some of the things I wrote when I started TGB:
Blogging has connected the world in a way that hasn't been achieved by newspapers, films or even television. Transglobe blog is all about sharing those connections. Our aim is to have at least one post, and up to five, from every country in the world, all with a common theme - "A day in my life."
You may think the daily life of someone in your own country isn't interesting, but it will be to people from other parts of the world. In time it will be fascinating to compare the daily lives of a mogul from Manhattan with a sheep farmer from Cyprus!
Once the project is complete it will be an amazing snapshot of life on our planet in the early 21st century!
So far the scores, in terms of posts, look like this:
I also managed to persuade one celebrity, Will Carling, to write a post.
Progress has been slow, and that's why I'd like some help please. I'd love you to:
This isn't a money making project - it's for fun, so don't give it priority over your work.
But if you can help, I'd be very grateful.
